What is the best way that we as a church could help you grow as a parent? Earlier in one of the posts I had asked who is responsible for the spiritual development of a child? The consensus from the comments is that parents rather than the church are the ones responsible. There in lies my continual challenge, how can I and more importantly we as a church help equip you as a parent in your effort to see your child or children grow in a strong relationship with God.
Would you like resources (books, DVD's)?
Would you want to attend a parenting type class or seminar on how to help your child grow Spiritually?
Would you like to have a parenting curriculum in your Lifegroup?
Does this blog Help? If so, what topics would be of most help for you as a parent?

I am pleased to see your interest in wanting to see families at ALC grow spiritually. When my children were toddlers/preschoolers, I would have loved to have had some guidance in how to establish a firm foundation for my children to grow spiritually and have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. Now that they are 9 and 12, I feel it's even MORE important that we as parents guide them and help them strengthen their walk with Jesus. I would be interested in both book/DVD suggestions that are Bibically sound, and a class or seminar on ways to help our kids grow spiritually and strengthen their walk with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

I love having a "church family" of brothers and sisters, that are interested in how they can help us as parents. I thought It might be benefitial, if we knew the parents, that were interested in teaching their children. As a teacher I would love it if we had parents sitting in with their own children. Watching how we interact and teach them. That would give them an oppertunity to see how fun and easy it is.
